Banquet
Each June, members gather at a local restaurant to install the elected officers for the upcoming club year. The annual banquet takes the place of the last general meeting before the summer break. Not only can you catch up with friends old and new, but you can enjoy a meal that you didn’t have to cook or clean up, and you may even win one of the fabulous prizes from the tombola basket raffle. Raffle prizes are generously donated by club members as well as area businesses.
The funds raised at this event support the club in these and other ways:
- Provide parenting support to members.
- Provide financial and food assistance to members who fall on difficult economic times, become ill, or are taking care of their children who are hospitalized.
- Outreach to local children’s medical facilities and support to parents in the surrounding community who are dealing with ill and disabled children.
Past charities have included the Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and others.
